Ideogram V2

Founded in 2022 by former Google Brain researchers Mohammad Norouzi, William Chan, Chitwan Saharia and Jonathan Ho, Ideogram is a Toronto-based lab building text-to-image models known for reliable text rendering in images. The model line runs from 0.1 (August 2023) through 2.0 (August 2024) and 3.0 (March 2025) as app and API products. Ideogram 4.0 (June 2026) is its first open-weight release: the weights are published under the Ideogram Non-Commercial Model Agreement with paid commercial self-hosting licences, and the inference code under Apache 2.0.
